Admit it. You are a label checker. You check the country of origin on virtually everything. Light bulbs, apparel, even food. And why do you check labels? Because you are seeking the quality that comes from U.S. made products. A challenge that consumers are facing is that some businesses are sacrificing quality at the hand of cost. Tecre, however, has refused to make this sacrifice. The company’s story begins in the U.S.A. and has stayed there.
Spawned from America’s heartland, Tecre began in a home workshop. Don’t all great success stories seem to start in one’s garage? Ben Braunberger, the founder, original engineer, and mastermind behind Tecre’s Electric Button Making Machine, understood the quality and ingenuity that comes from U.S. Made products. By 1990, his creative and entrepreneurial spirit had paid off when Tecre officially opened its doors. Tecre’s manual button making machines soon followed – the machines that now empower so many others to begin to their own button making businesses.
Before long, current owners Bruce & Debbie Weyer would join Ben’s team. Under their lead the company went on to introduce button making equipment and accessories that would set the stage for the rest of the industry.
Today made in U.S.A. isn’t just a selling point; it’s a way of life here at Tecre. Sometimes U.S.A. made can be open to interpretation – are a company’s products manufactured in the U.S.? Or just assembled here? At Tecre, however, the answer is yes and yes. Yes, our equipment is manufactured in the U.S.A. Yes, it is assembled here also.
Tecre stands as one of the only button machine manufacturers in the U.S.A. The cushioned vinyl grips? Made in the good ol’ U.S.A. Those robust steel dies that can turn out hundreds of thousands of buttons? You guessed it. Made by Tecre in the U.S.A.
Tecre’s steel comes from the Midwest along with many other raw materials that we use to produce quality button components. The steel is formed into button making supplies in more than 27 sizes. The stamping, packaging, and shipping all occurs here at Tecre. Even the pins are inserted by Tecre personnel. In fact, only a few small accessories on Tecre.com are not manufactured in the U.S.A.
How does our operation add value to your company? Beyond unparalleled quality, our operations deeply rooted in the Midwest also mean that we are available to offer guidance and expertise when it comes to the maintenance of your button maker. When you call Tecre, you speak directly to us, those who are engineering supreme button making equipment and forging innovation in the button making industry. So check your labels, do your research, and choose the company that was established in America’s heartland and still thrives there today!
